AI / macOS

Luumi

A tiny animated Mac cat that can chat, remember context, and help with Notes, Calendar, and Music when asked.

An adorable animated native Mac assistant. Just a small, slightly sassy cat.

Luumi can use an AI gateway or local Ollama, with explicit actions for Notes, Calendar, and Music.

But mostly i just like how she sits in the way of everything and purrs when i pick her up to move her.

What I learned

My first native Mac app. I learned about NSPanel and how to make a floating, ever-present entity.

I also figured out connections to the Apple ecosystem—Calendar, Music, and the rest—plus automatic updates.

And it was the first real sales landing page for a piece of software I'd written.
